André Pang, who founded Sigil Studios, has worked in leadership positions on several best-of-class projects, such as cineSync and RapidWeaver.
In some cases, we’ve refactored or rewritten more than 80% of existing code bases, in all cases leading to less code, less buggy code, more maintainable code… and most importantly, a shiny new version of a shipping product at the end of the day.
Open Source
We are a strong believer in open-source software, and have a sound understanding of the philosophies and cultures behind many popular OSS licenses, such as the GNU GPL, BSD/MIT, and Artistic licenses (and of course the WTFPL).
All of our open-source contributions so far have been done on behalf of our clients, to further their own reputation in the open-source ecosystem. Our open-source projects have been as diverse as founding entire community sites, to taking over maintenance of existing OSS projects.
